The Matron Mother is an antagonist in the Campaign of MetalStorm: Online. She was the former Governess of Markovia, but claims that the Royal Legion invaded Markovia and forcefully threw her out of office. In the Invasion of Port Crescent, she communicates with Helios Squad and Admiral Durant, insulting them as "imperialists", and organizes ground, air and naval forces in a failed attempt to protect Port Crescent. The Matron Mother is implied to be captured at the end of the Campaign, or possibly even executed.
